Novosanis' Urine Self-Collection Device CE Marked

NEW YORK (360Dx) – Belgian medical device firm Novosanis today announced its self-sampling urine collection device has been CE marked.

The Colli-Pee for collecting first-void urine was CE-marked for use with Novosanis' proprietary UCM preservative. First-void urine enables the improved, noninvasive detection of infectious diseases, as well as cancers, in early stages, and the addition of the preservative allows for the longer preservation of urine and content, such as DNA, for diagnostic purposes, the company said.

Novosanis develops medical devices to improve the accuracy of diagnostic tests, and to improve drug delivery in infectious diseases and oncology. In addition to Colli-Pee, it offers Vax-ID injection devices for drug delivery.
