NEW YORK — Devicare said recently that it has signed a manufacturing agreement for its Lit-Control pH Meter device with Idneo Technologies.
The self-testing device is designed for the measurement of urine pH levels in patients taking alkalizing and acidifying urinary treatments, which can lead to the formation of kidney stones.
Under the terms of the deal, Idneo will take over manufacturing and supply responsibilities for the device under its Idneo MedTech brand. The Barcelona, Spain-based companies will also work together on the development of next-generation versions of the device.
Additional terms were not disclosed.
"This strategic collaboration with Idneo MedTech will allow our company to scale its manufacturing capabilities and engineering resources with the aim to offer the most reliable technology to our customers, doctors, and patients around the world and continue with our vision of reducing the burden of … kidney stone disease," Devicare CEO Rosendo Garganta said in a statement.
