Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or a related discipline and at least 2 years of experience or a Master’s Degree in a related discipline and at least 1 year of experience are required.
Experience: Experience in mammalian cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques, including DNA manipulation and cloning is desirable. Work will include research with mouse models of disease and willingness to handle animals is an absolute requirement. Comprehensive skills in data handling and excellent record keeping are equally important. The Borniger lab is willing to train applicants in systems neuro techniques.
Skills: The position requires flexibility, excellent organizational skills, the ability to troubleshoot and work independently, and a strong work ethic. Must be curious and highly motivated.
