Job Description

We are currently seeking a personable, experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our growing organization. In this position, you will primarily be responsible for the day-to-day HR functions at the work site in the areas of Compensation, Benefits, Employee Relations, Training & Development, Recruitment & Selection, and general HR Administration. You will act as an HR generalist in all aspects of HR while participating in various HR projects during the course of the year. You should be a proactive communicator, organized, and experienced with successfully balancing employee needs with business objectives to create integrated solutions. Key Responsibilities & Duties: • New hire orientation and ensuring that new employee completes all required paperwork • Input all information into DayForce for all employees and ensure that all benefit and payroll information is loaded as appropriate • Assist managers with recommendations for compensation • Present and/or announce new benefit offerings for employees as they become available • Provides assistance to employees on benefit questions and where to find information • Help managers with hiring requisitions, job descriptions, sourcing, interviews and offer letters • Review the applicant’s experience and credentials with the job description to ensure the applicant meets the minimum requirements for the position • Ensure that background checks, I-9s, On-boarding and DayForce information is completed on all new hires and reviews the results for any concerns and works them to completion • Working with the employee’s manager to provide employee counseling as required, maintaining confidentiality while acting in the best interest of the company and with an understanding of the legal requirements • Conduct stay interviews with key employees and exit interviews with departing employees and share information as needed • Work with managers on employee referral to EAP, performance counseling, terminations, etc. • Serves and represents HR on the various local engagement committees (W@L, xTreme Team, Diversity Council and Community Involvement Committee) • Work with mangers on development plans for the top and bottom performers • Deliver training, coordinates all employee meetings for the sites, visits with the CEO and other HR initiatives as required • Maintain and audit on-site HR files for record retention • Ensure compliance with all local labor laws • Other duties as assigned


Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Business, or similar with equivalent HR experience and/or training; or 5 years related and direct experience in Human Resources and an Associates degree • 3 years related experience in Human Resources, preferably in the areas of manufacturing, biotech, technology or natural science Training, Skills and Certifications/Licenses: • HR certification preferred • Expert user skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook • Knowledge of employment laws in Washington and California required • Highly organized with proven time management and prioritization skills • High sense of urgency to meet business needs • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
