Agilent is looking for a motivated individual to join their Bids Response team. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Diagnostics and Genomics group at Agilent. This is a dynamic role where you will get the opportunity to partner with a variety of departments within Agilent such as Contracts, Sales, Procurement etc. to successfully prepare and submit accurate, complete and timely bid response packages.



  • Prepare bids in accordance with customer requirements, Agilent customer contract policies, procedures, Agilent approval matrix and bid prioritization schedule.
  • Review and carefully evaluate customer contract documents received for terms and conditions agreement with Agilent Legal, Contracts and other relevant policies.
  • Escalate and ensure resolution of issues and customer requests to appropriate Agilent team members.
  • Communicate with purchasing representatives or Contracting Officers when clarification is needed in reference to a bid.
  • Communicate with Agilent stakeholders regarding the progress of a bid, outcome (e.g., award) and next steps.
  • Accurately log bid progress and outcomes in assigned tools, as well as prepare needed reports.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master's Degree (University Degree or equivalent) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related field
  • 4+ years relevant experience preferably in response and contract review/negotiation, as well as sales, finance, legal and high technology.
  • Proficient computer skills; experience in use of database software applications such as SAP, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Must be able to pay attention to detail, make quick decisions relative to bids and respond accordingly.
  • Ability to fully prepare, working with sales teams and technical responders, bid responses to customer technical, legal and other specifications.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently cross-functionally. Very strong team player.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and phone communications skills with a strong interest in interacting directly with Sales Representatives (direct and indirect), as well as purchasing agents and contracting officers, as well as their organizations, business center, product divisions, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with or technical knowledge of analytical instrumentation, including related markets and customer applications desired.
  • Experience/familiarity with genomics and pathology
