TE is in the process of expanding reagent integration capabilities to meet our customer’s demands for full service IVD consumable development and manufacturing. We are looking for an individual to lead the establishment and growth of lyo bead (lyophilized reagents in bead format) formulation and manufacturing. The primary goals are building the team, specifying and installing of the Bio Lab, developing and integrating of protocols, procedures and technologies required to produce Lyo Beads for our customers IVD and medical regulated products. Candidate will also lead low volume fabrication capability (up to 100 K lyo beads per year) efforts in our customers programs to reach milestones (such as verification and validation phases). Job Responsibilities *Own the development and low volume fabrication of Lyo Beads *Hands-on person responsible for the organic growth of Lyo Bead development *Lead lyo bead formulation development activities within our product development projects *Analytical method development and qualification to assess Lyo Bead quality *Lead novel Lyo Bead-enabling formulation development. *Build strong relationships with our customer and partners. *Drive strong collaboration with our New Product Development, PMO, Commercial, Business *Development and Operations Teams. *Work closely with our Commercial and Business Development Organizations to support new business initiatives. *Partner with the New Product Development, Business Development and Commercial teams in the development of innovative reagent integration solutions that can help our customers to win in their markets. *Align with Operations to set new manufacturing strategies and processes for the manufacturing and integration of lyo beads in microfluidic products. *Lead inter-site process and method transfer *Generate a strong and effective partnership with key technological players capable to increase our value (Universities, Research Organizations, Technological Centres, etc.) *Drive accountability in the team to meet project objectives and milestones. *Work closely with existing and potential customers in selling our capabilities. *PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or similar or BS/MS + equivalent industry experience. *Expertise in lyo lead manufacturing process development (PhD +5 years, BS+10 years, MS+7 years) *Experience on successfully leading or supporting lyo-bead process transferf *Experience in developing lyo-bead based products for IVD regulated market *Excellent collaborative and teamwork skills and experience. *Experience as a manager of a technical team will be positively valued. *Experience of working in a multi-national - public company environment. *Cost centre management. *International experience and mindset geared toward research, new product & business development – collaborative working & effective listening skills are critical in this role. *Core Values: Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork, Innovation
