Takara Bio USA, Inc. is looking for a self-motivated and attentive team player to serve as an Inside Sales Representative I on the U.S. Sales Team. The Inside Sales Representative I (ISR) reports to the Manager, Inside Sales and will drive opportunities in the assigned sales region. The ISR is responsible for prospecting, opportunity development and closing sales from the office in Fitchburg, WI. Additionally, the ISR serves a critical role in providing customer feedback to sales management and marketing.
The Inside Sales Representative I is an on-site role located in Fitchburg, WI.
Approximately 5% travel, including overnight, is required.
Responsible for the sales of company’s products within an assigned geographic territory and or within an assigned group of accounts.
Achieves sales budget by maintaining existing level of sales, as well as growing sales of existing and new accounts within the defined territory via phone calls to customers and by working closely with outside Territory Managers (TM).
Identifies, explores and closes new business opportunities at new and existing accounts via previous sales calls, documented contacts documented sales calls, emails, invoices, Tech Service cases, webinar attendees, sample requests, customer referrals while not precluding other sources or resources.
Demonstrates ability to effectively implement and execute corporate sales and marketing strategy and tactics.
Successfully implement and execute sales strategies and tactics that will require both individual efforts, as well as coordinated efforts with the local Territory Manager.
Demonstrates ability to implement effective selling techniques utilized by the organization primarily by phone and email. Creates and executes questioning strategies designed to advance objectives of call, value proposition and closing statements.
Updates and maintains the customer relationship management (CRM) software tool to ensure full transparency of customer information across the organization.
Communicates potential opportunities with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and Product Managers by entering pertinent information into CRM.
Monitors and updates revenue opportunities to completion.
Learns and understands the technical details of key products (new and existing) in order to communicate their advantages to existing and potential new customers by phone and/or email.
Provides timely communication and follow-up to customers; consistently meets the customer’s expectations.
Provides pertinent market and competitive information to the organization.
Analyzes accounts, competition and product mix; Identifies areas for likely sales growth and executes plan to achieve it.
Contributes to business plan to increase revenue within territory.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Education/Certification, Experience, and Competencies:
BS, MS, PhD, in Cell, Molecular Biology or related life science discipline.
2-4 years lab bench experience in Cell, Molecular Biology or related area preferred.
Telesales and/or telemarketing experience preferred, not required.
