ABOUT YOU

You are an experienced, high-performing individual who enjoys working on a team with high standards for quality and a keen eye for detail.  You enjoy a busy day working under the leadership of a lead scientist and adapt well to changing priorities.

Experience and knowledge needed to be successful in this position

  • MS or PhD in Bioengineering, Chemistry, Biology, or other relevant discipline. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in bioconjugation with nanoparticles in manufacturing environment. This is not an entry-level position.   
  • The ability to plan and perform bioconjugation processes on manufacturing scale; strong laboratory bench skills are required.
  • Excellent knowledge of statistics.  Ability to analyze, evaluate and report technical data to upper management.
  • Ability to interact constructively with co-workers.  Excellent verbal & written communication skills are a must.

Job duties include

  • Develop and test Lateral Flow Immunoassays (LFIs) to continuously improve sensitivity and specificity on existing versions.
  • Coordinate between R&D and manufacturing departments to ensure manufacturing products are consistent with R&D demonstrated prototypes.
  • Routine testing including in-process, release, and stability testing of rapid assays.
  • Supporting method transfer and qualification activities.
  • Statistical analysis of analytical/technical data.
  • Excellent knowledge of statistics.  Ability to analyze, evaluate and report technical data to upper management.
  • Ability to interact constructively with co-workers.  Excellent verbal & written communication skills are a must.

Work environment information

  • Position responsibilities include work in a Biosafety Level 2 lab (BSL-2) and a humidity-controlled environment.
  • This position requires an ability to lift up to 25 lbs with assistance.
