Atonomics' Lipid Panel Gets CE Mark

NEW YORK (360Dx) – Danish diagnostics firm Atonomics today announced its lipid panel has received CE marking.

The Trace Lipids panel is the firm's first commercial product and measures total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglyceride levels from a finger prick. According to Atonomics, the cartridge test provides results in a few minutes and can be used to monitor the effectiveness of diet, lifestyle changes, and medications to lower cholesterol. The device will be linked to an app for read-out and tracking, it said.

Atonomics said it plans to roll out a range of prevention and disease marker tests, including ones for HbA1c, CRP, vitamin levels, and others. CEO Thomas Warthoe said that the initial CE mark is for in vitro diagnostics professional use, but the company plans to receive CE marking for self-testing later this year.
