NEW YORK ─ Horiba Medical on Tuesday announced it has obtained US Food and Drug Administration and Health Canada clearances for its next-generation clinical chemistry system, the Yumizen C1200, and that the analyzer is available through the firm's US and Canadian distribution partners.
Montpellier, France-based Horiba Medical said the Yumizen C1200 is suitable for laboratories that process 2 million, or more, tests annually, and has a throughput of 1,200 tests per hour and a large test menu that includes comprehensive panels and specialty tests.
With microsampling technology ensuring that a minimal amount of sample is used, the Yumizen C1200 provides additional workflow efficiencies through continuous random access, ensuring that samples can be quickly analyzed during peak hours, Horiba Medical, a segment of Kyoto, Japan-based Horiba, added.
