NEW YORK — DCN Dx said on Wednesday that it has acquired IVD Vision, a developer of custom diagnostic instruments and software.
Carlsbad, California-based DCN, which develops lateral flow diagnostic tests, said the transaction will help expand its portfolio of point-of-care testing products, as well as its diagnostic development services for analytical instruments such as point-of-care and lateral flow strip readers, software, and analog and digital circuits.
Among the products offered by IVD Vision, also based in Carlsbad, are colorimetric point-of-care readers, according to its website. It also provides services to help other firms develop IVD tests and other products.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Earlier this month, DCN acquired PortaScience, a point-of-care diagnostics company focused on dry chemistry technology.
