Osler Diagnostics: Chris Smith, David Berry
Oxford, UK-based Osler Diagnostics has appointed Chris Smith as chairman of the board of directors and David Berry as a non-executive director.
Smith is currently the CEO of Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, which is being acquired by Quidel for around $6 billion, and upon completion of the acquisition, he will take up an advisory role to the executive team of the combined company and join its board of directors. Smith also serves on the boards of other companies including Nyxoah and Akouos. Prior to joining Ortho, he was CEO of Cochlear, a medical device company, and held several other senior executive roles including CEO in residence for Warburg Pincus and global group president of Gyrus Group, a surgical products company. Earlier, he held roles at Abbott, Cardinal Health, Prism, and KCI Medical.
David Berry is founder and CEO of Valo Health, and since 2005 has worked at Flagship Pioneering where he is a general partner. Berry has cofounded more than 20 companies across life sciences and sustainability. He also serves on the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network where he was a founding leadership council member.
