Myriad Genetics: Thomas Slavin
Myriad Genetics has named Thomas Slavin as its new chief medical officer. Slavin, who will report to Myriad Genetics Laboratories President Nicole Lambert, joined the company in March last year. Prior to that, he was an assistant professor within City of Hope National Medical Center's medical oncology and therapeutics research and population sciences departments. Slavin has developed guidelines for colorectal cancer screening and genetic testing within National Comprehensive Cancer Network committees, and classified genetic variants associated with breast, gastrointestinal, and ovarian cancer risk within ClinGen expert working groups.
