Laboratory Corporation of America: R. Sanders Williams and Jean-Luc Bélingard
Laboratory Corporation of America said this week that R. Sanders Williams and Jean-Luc Bélingard have retired from its board of directors following the conclusion of their terms on May 14. They retired pursuant to the company's corporate governance guidelines, which require mandatory director retirement at the conclusion of the term at which they reach the age of 75.
Williams became a director of Labcorp in 2007 and has served as the quality and compliance committee chair and on the audit committee. He is a professor of medicine and senior advisor for science and technology at Duke University and president emeritus of the J. David Gladstone Institutes.
Bélingard became a director of Labcorp in 1995 and has served on the compensation and human capital and quality and compliance committees. He is an operating advisor to Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, vice president of Institut Mérieux and former chairman and CEO of BioMérieux-Pierre Fabre.
