InfanDx: Gunter Weiss

InfanDx has appointed Gunter Weiss as its chief operating officer and to head up the further development of the firm's biomarkers for hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy and its HypoxE IVD tests for detecting such biomarkers in blood samples from newborns. 

Weiss has more than 15 years of experience in biomarker and IVD development for the European, US, and Chinese market. He is joining InfanDx from a position as senior vice president of product development at Epigenomics, where he headed the development of cancer-related diagnostic IVD products.

Weiss previously held research positions at the University of Munich and the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, and a professorship for bioinformatics at Düsseldorf University.
