NEW YORK – PerkinElmer announced on Monday its test for detecting and differentiating SARS-CoV-2, influenza A/B viruses, and respiratory syncytial virus has received the CE mark.

The PKamp Respiratory SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR Panel is also being reviewed by the US Food and Drug Administration for Emergency Use Authorization, the Waltham, Massachusetts-based company said. The test is designed to save resources by testing for the four viruses in one test using single nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal, or nasal swab samples, and is for use with PerkinElmer's automated viral nucleic extractor.
