ArcticZymes Inks Enzyme Supply Agreement with GE Healthcare Life Sciences

ArcticZymes said last week that it has inked a supply agreement with GE Healthcare Life Sciences for products based on ArcticZymes' portfolio of heat-labile enzymes.

Tromsø, Norway-based ArcticZymes' heat-labile enzyme portfolio includes shrimp alkaline phosphatase, Cod-UNG, DNases and other nucleases, and kits for PCR decontamination and genomic DNA removal. The cold-adapted enzymes are particularly well-suited for molecular biology research and diagnostic applications, ArcticZymes said.

ArcticZymes, a subsidiary of Biotec Pharmacon, has previously inked similar supply agreements with New England Biolabs and Affymetrix.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
