The test is the cornerstone of a study involving roughly a thousand patients from two British neonatal centers that is set to commence this fall.

The company, which is also backed by Health Innovation Manchester, aims to expedite the commercialization of biomarkers into new diagnostic tests.

The funding will be used to run a study of breath-based biomarkers and measures of small airway function to enable the definitive diagnosis of asthma.
