Northern Ireland-Based Cancer Dx Firm GenoMe Diagnostics Raises £1.4M
The Queen's University Belfast spinout plans to develop a blood test called OvaMe for the early detection of ovarian cancer.
The test relies on a signature that Almac developed for stratifying breast cancer patients, but which, as the researchers showed, can be used in other cancers as well.
Randox believes its cash commitment will fill its clinical diagnostics pipeline for years to come, and collaborators include specialists in high-resolution imaging and nanotechnology.
