Genomics England, Oxford Nanopore Partner for Project to Diagnose Unsolved Rare Disease Cases
As part of the project, Eurofins Genomics is contracted to perform whole-genome nanopore sequencing on 7,500 samples from the 100,000 Genomes Project.
The British company aims to combine the digital pathology and radiology data with its whole-genome sequencing dataset to create a new multimodal research platform.
The UK government said it will also invest £26 million to support cancer genomics research, and an additional £22 million to improve genomic data diversity.
