Siemens Healthineers Enhanced Liver Fibrosis Test

Siemens Healthineers has launched its Enhanced Liver Fibrosis Test in the US exclusively through Laboratory Corporation of America and Quest Diagnostics, which are offering the test. The blood-based test for assessing the prognosis of patients with advanced fibrosis due to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis received de novo authorization from the US Food and Drug Administration in August. Clinicians can use the test to evaluate the likelihood that a patient may progress to cirrhosis and other liver-related clinical events and make decisions on appropriate interventions and lifestyle changes, Siemens said.
