Paige Virchow2, Virchow2G
Computational pathology firm Paige has launched its second-generation Virchow AI models for the development of clinical pathology applications. The firm said that it developed the Virchow2 and Virchow2G models in a collaboration with Microsoft and noted that the models were trained using de-identified data from more than 225,000 patients with diversity in gender, race, ethnicity, and geographic origin. The dataset includes more than 40 tissue types with staining by hematoxylin and eosin or various immunohistochemistry stains. Microsoft separately announced that the Virchow2 model has 632 million parameters and the Virchow2G model has 1.85 billion parameters.
