NEW YORK (360Dx) – Empire Genomics has signed on Resnova as a distributor for its fluorescent in situ hybridization probes and molecular diagnostic services in Italy, the companies announced today.
In addition to custom, gene-specific, and chromosome control FISH probes, Empire offers a range of cancer genetic testing services for personalized medicine. Specific terms of the deal with Rome-based Resnova were not disclosed.
"Empire Genomics recognizes the great value which Resnova brings into this collaboration, especially with its long-lasting experience in the molecular cytogenetics field," Reza Mazaheri, Empire's vice president of international business development, said in a statement. "This partnership reinforces Empire Genomics’ strategy of further expanding its presence in key [European Commission] countries by sharing its experience and knowledge of FISH product manufacturing and customization."
In 2016, Empire signed a distribution agreement for its cancer diagnostics products in China with HemaTone Beijing.
