NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Genome Medical has signed an agreement to use Fabric Genomics' clinical interpretation technology for use in interpreting patient genetic results, the companies announced today.
Genome Medical, which was founded in 2016, provides genetic consultation services to physicians and patients through a network of clinical genomics experts. Under the terms of the deal, it will use the recently launched Fabric Enterprise clinical genomics interpretation platform for ongoing examination of patients' genomic data to augment data analysis, annotation, and interpretation in collaboration with its laboratory partners.
Additional terms were not disclosed.
"By combining our expertise in genome interpretation with Genome Medical's team of physicians and genetic counselors, we can offer patients and physicians a clinical solution by combining genomic knowledge with patient care to improve their health," Fabric CEO Martin Reese said in a statement.
"It will be increasingly important that our clinicians have the right tools to view, query, interpret, and reinterpret our patients' genetic information over time," Genome Medical Chief Medical Officer Steven Bleyl added. "We have partnered with Fabric Genomics to meet that crucial need."
