NEW YORK — Canadian life sciences firm Sona Nanotech said last week that it has received CE marking for its rapid SARS-CoV-2 antigen test.
The immunochromatographic assay is designed to detect the virus's spike protein antigen in nasopharyngeal swab specimens, providing results in 15 minutes, according to the company. It will be marketed as a screening tool for use by organizations in high-risk congregate settings.
