NEW YORK – 3D Medicine Science & Technology (3DMed) said this week that it has received the CE mark for its SARS-CoV-2 and Influenza A&B RT-qPCR detection kit.
According to the Shanghai-based company, the kit simultaneously detects the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19, influenza A virus, and influenza B virus in one reaction. It qualitatively detects viral nucleic acids in specimens from the upper and lower respiratory tract.
3DMed also said that it has submitted its ANDiS automated nucleic acid extraction system and ANDiS SARS-CoV-2 RT-qPCR detection kit to the US Food and Drug Administration for Emergency Use Authorization.
Earlier this week, Todos Medical said it has struck a non-exclusive distribution agreement with 3DMed for the US and Israel.
