NEW YORK — Code 1 Supply said on Thursday that it has signed an agreement to distribute InBios International's point-of-care SCoV-2 Ag Detect Rapid Test for SARS-CoV-2 antigens.
The test, which received Emergency Use Authorization from the US Food and Drug Administration in May, is a lateral flow immunoassay designed to detect the SARS-CoV-2 nucleoprotein antigen in direct anterior nasal swab specimens collected by healthcare providers. It is for use with individuals suspected of COVID-19 within five days of the onset of symptoms and with individuals without symptoms when used twice over two or three days with at least 24 hours and no more than 48 hours between tests.
South Yarmouth, Massachusetts-based Code 1 is selling kits containing 50 tests and swabs, as well as positive and negative controls, online for $499.
Financial terms of the distribution deal were not disclosed.
