NEW YORK — German diagnostics and genetic testing firm CeGaT said on Monday that its ELISA-based SARS-CoV-2 test has received CE marking.
CeGaT's Corona Antibody Test is designed to detect immunoglobulin G antibodies against the S1 domain of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein in blood samples. According to the company, the test has demonstrated over 95 percent sensitivity and nearly 99 percent specificity in a study of nearly 300 patients.
CeGaT said the test is available for €25 ($27).
