NEW YORK — Avacta said on Monday that it has signed a nonexclusive European distribution deal for its AffiDX SARS-CoV-2 antigen lateral flow test with Calibre Scientific.
Under the terms of the deal, Los Angeles-based Calibre will offer the test, which received CE marking earlier this month and was developed with Mologic, through its website for professional use in the UK and European Economic Area. Additional terms were not disclosed.
Avacta CEO Alastair Smith said in a statement that the UK-based company is in discussions with potential customers for the test outside of Europe, including the Asia-Pacific region, where additional regulatory approvals are minimal.
