NEW YORK — Siemens Healthineers has signed an agreement to extend its global hemostasis product distribution agreement with Japanese healthcare firm Sysmex, as well as begin distributing Sysmex's CN-Series line of automated blood coagulation analyzers, the companies said on Wednesday.
According to the companies, the multiyear extension covers the supply, distributorship, sales, and service of hemostasis testing systems and reagents. Siemens Healthineers will also distribute Sysmex's CN-3000 and CN-6000 hemostasis analyzers, which are designed to integrate with the German company's Atellica Data Manager software and Aptio Automation instrumentation.
Additional terms were not disclosed.
"Siemens Healthineers and Sysmex have built a solid hemostasis partnership for more than 25 years since initially signing the global alliance agreement in 1995," Deepak Nath, Siemens Healthineers' president of Laboratory Diagnostics, said in a statement. "Together we are able to deliver both quality and comprehensive hemostasis testing solutions to laboratories of all sizes across the world."
In August, Sysmex signed an exclusive agreement to distribute Siemens Healthineers' automated urine chemistry analyzer in North American hospitals and reference laboratories.
