Roche Renews Agreement to Distribute Sysmex Hematology Products

NEW YORK – Roche announced on Monday that it has renewed a global business partnership agreement with Sysmex, enabling Roche to distribute Sysmex hematology products such as instruments and reagents.

Under the new agreement, the companies will use their IT platforms to "improve customer experience" in the short term and eventually improve clinical decision-making with the systems, Roche said in a statement. The companies also will work to establish a joint framework to standardize cybersecurity measures.

The new agreement runs until the end of 2030, Roche added. Further terms were not disclosed by the partners.

The distribution partnership began in 1999, and in 2018 the companies entered into a non-exclusive agreement offering total laboratory solutions (TLS), which allowed customers who wanted to buy clinical chemistry, immunochemistry, and hematology testing products from one vendor to do so with Roche and Sysmex. The new framework includes the distribution agreement, TLS collaboration, and IT solutions agreement.

"Utilising a single service provider can simplify laboratory workflows, inventory management and service solutions, while maintaining access to high-quality, market-leading systems and solutions," Roche said.
