NEW YORK (360Dx) – Aurora Diagnostics today announced the acquisition of CBM Pathology, a multi-specialty pathology practice providing services to ambulatory surgery centers and referring physician groups in Gaithersburg, Maryland and the surrounding area.
The acquisition is the fifth pathology practice acquisition for Palm Beach Gardens, Florida-based Aurora Diagnostics this year, following the acquisitions of University Pathologists in Warwick, Rhode Island; Pathology Associates of Princeton in Plainsboro Township, New Jersey; Cleveland Skin Pathology Laboratory in Cleveland, Ohio; and CytoPath in Alabaster, Alabama.
With the acquisition of CBM, which was founded in 1999, Aurora Diagnostics now has 31 affiliated local pathology practices around the country. Aurora says it is the nation's largest independent integrated oncology diagnostics practice.
