NEW YORK – Digital health firm Sharecare said today that it is collaborating with Quest Diagnostics on tools for digital health management.
As part of the collaboration, Quest has made a strategic investment of an undisclosed amount in Sharecare, which named Quest its preferred laboratory partner. The development of disease management programs and other services will also be explored, they said.
"With its expertise, quality and reach, Quest Diagnostics is the trusted leader in diagnostic information services. Together, we will elevate the Sharecare experience and empower individuals to access better insights into their health risks," Jeff Arnold, Sharecare's cofounder, chairman, and CEO, said in a statement.
Financial and other terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Based in Atlanta, Sharecare seeks to involve people in all aspects of their healthcare, starting with the RealAge test. Its platform allows consumers to connect with personalized information, evidence-based programs, benefits, community resources, and health services. Employers, health plans, and health systems, meanwhile, can improve outcomes, according to the company.
