NEW YORK (360Dx) – PathGroup said Wednesday that it has acquired Dallas, Texas-based pathology services firm Pathologists Bio-Medical Laboratories.
According to Nashville, Tennessee-based PathGroup, which is owned by Pritzker Private Capital, the acquisition will allow it to enhance and broaden its testing menu with the combined company including more than 120 pathologists covering all pathology sub-specialties.
"This joining of forces expands PathGroup’s presence in one of our key markets, while also providing a platform of enhanced services for the current clients and patients of both companies," Ben Davis, president and CEO of PathGroup, said in a statement.
With the acquisition, PathGroup will comprise more than 1,800 employees and have relationships with more than 75 hospitals and thousands of doctors across the US.
Financial and other terms of the deal were not disclosed.
