NEW YORK – Laboratory Corporation of America said Thursday that it has inked an agreement to manage the daily operations of Inspira Health's three hospital labs in New Jersey and serve as the primary lab for Inspira's physician network.
Under the agreement, Labcorp said that it will provide staffing, leadership, scientific knowledge, analytics, supply chain services, and laboratory and technical support for Inspira's inpatient hospital labs. Labcorp noted that the affected labs are in Vineland, Elmer, and Mullica Hill, and the physician network includes more than 1,400 physicians.
Financial and other terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Labcorp announced last month that it had entered an agreement with Graves Gilbert Clinic to manage some lab operations at facilities in Kentucky, and the company also reported that it had entered another agreement to acquire Kansas-based MAWD Pathology Group's clinical and women's health testing businesses.
