NEW YORK – Paige and Indica Labs said Tuesday that they have inked a deal to incorporate Paige's artificial intelligence-based diagnostic models into Indica's anatomic pathology workflow management software.
The firms said that the nonexclusive partnership will include the integration of Paige's AI-based tests through Indica's Halo AP platforms including Paige's pan-cancer test, and Halo AP users will be able to see the results of Paige's cancer detection applications within the Halo AP image management system.
"We are confident that integrating the technologies that Indica and Paige have developed will provide pathologists with the richest set of capabilities that will drive improvements in cancer diagnostics," Peter Hamilton, general manager of diagnostics at Paige, said in a statement.
The partnership is part of a strategic shift that was announced by Paige earlier this month. The company said that it plans to transition toward making its AI-based diagnostic applications standalone products that are compatible with multiple digital pathology programs rather than exclusive to the Paige Platform.
