NEW YORK (360Dx) – The US Department of Defense said recently that it has awarded Ortho Clinical Diagnostics a contract for a maximum of about $9.8 million for medical surgical products.
A spokesperson for Ortho Clinical Diagnostics declined to comment on the contract, including what products or technologies it covers, saying only that the company is a "global leader of in vitro diagnostics."
In its statement, DoD said the contract has a base term of 14 months with eight one-year and one 10-month option periods. The performance completion date is Jan. 16, 2028, and using customers include the US Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and federal civilian agencies.
