NEW YORK – Sysmex America announced Monday it has signed an exclusive agreement with Siemens Healthineers to distribute and service the firm's automated urine chemistry analyzer in North American hospitals and reference laboratories.
Siemens' Clinitek Novus Automated Urine Analyzer, which combines dry-pad urine chemistry technology and a cassette test format, will complete Sysmex's automated urinalysis portfolio, the company said in a statement.
The Clinitek instrument offers "a full spectrum of chemistry strip tests," and will be distributed by Sysmex both as a fully integrated component of the firm's portfolio of UN-Series instruments and as a stand-alone product.
Financial and other terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
