NEW YORK (360Dx) – Streck today announced two distribution deals for its cell stabilization products.
The deals are with Medico, a Canadian distributor of medical diagnostic and research-related products, and Viagene, a Slovak distributor of genetic, molecular biology, pathology, and technologies such as next-generation sequencing.
Both deals cover Streck's Cyto-Chex BCT, a blood collection tube for preserving whole-blood specimens for immunophenotyping by flow cytometry; Cell-Free DNA BCT, a direct draw blood collection tube which stabilizes nucleated blood cells and prevents the release of DNA; Cell-Free RNA BCT, also a blood collection tube, which stabilizes circulating RNA in plasma and prevents the release of non-targeted background RNA from blood cells; and Cell-Free DNA Urine Preserve, a liquid reagent that stabilizes cell-free DNA in urine.
In addition to Streck's cell-free products, the agreement with Medico includes Streck's molecular products, such as its ARM-D kits for detecting antibiotic-resistant genes by multiplex PCR, and the rapid real-time PCR instrument, the Zulu RT, which will launch soon.
Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Earlier this month, Streck and Nordic BioSite signed a distribution deal covering Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway.
