NEW YORK ─ Proscia on Wednesday announced a multiyear original equipment manufacturer agreement with Siemens Healthineers aimed at expanding the global reach of digital pathology.
Under the agreement, Siemens Healthineers will enter the digital pathology market by combining its Enterprise Imaging offering with Proscia’s Concentriq Dx platform, Proscia said.
Financial and other terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The Concentriq Dx digital pathology platform connects a diverse ecosystem of hardware and software into a single solution, while Siemens Healthineers’ Syngo Carbon Enterprise Imaging Solution offers image interpretation, reporting, artificial intelligence implementation, data management, archiving, and migration, Proscia said.
According to the Philadelphia-based firm, Concentriq Dx and Syngo Carbon combined enable the digitization of pathology operations at scale alongside diagnostic radiology imaging for healthcare enterprises.
Last May, Proscia announced it had established a strategic partnership with European diagnostic services firm Unilabs to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence in routine pathology practice.
