NEW YORK – PreCheck Health Services announced Friday that through its Latin American division, it has entered into an exclusive deal with Co-Diagnostics to distribute that firm's Logix Smart Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Test in Ecuador.
PreCheck aslo announced a deal on Monday to distribute Co-Diagnostics' COVID-19 test and its CoDx Box in Panama.
PreCheck Health said it has has an initial order of 30,000 tests in Equador and will register the COVID-19 test in Ecuador.
The company also said that it has reached a deal with Co-Diagnostics and Health Tech Innovation Systems to be the exclusive distributor tor the test in Panama. PreCheck's subsidiary in that country will distribute the COVID-19 test and the CoDx Box in Panama, as a result.
Financial and other terms of the agreements were not disclosed.
The Logix Smart Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Test leverages Co-Diagnostics CoPrimer technology to detect RNA in SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. It uses a single-step real-time RT-PCR process in lower respiratory tract specimens, upper tract specimens, and serum from patients who meet the clinical criteria for COVID-19.
The CoDx Box is a portable qPCR cycler that leverages magnetic induction technology. According to Co-Diagnostics, the system never requires calibration.
According to PreCheck Health CEO Justin Anderson, the company earlier reached an exclusive deal with Co-Diagnostics to distribute its COVID-19 test and infectious disease kits in Russia.
PreCheck Health is based in Denison, Texas. Its FDA-cleared PC8B platform screens for multiple risk factors underlying chronic ailments, such as insulin resistance, cardiovascular disease, and digestive problems.
In August, the company announced a deal to acquire medical device firms LD Technology and Medical Screening for $15 million.
