NEW YORK – Digital pathology companies Pramana and PathPresenter announced on Wednesday that they are collaborating to integrate their platforms and accelerate digital pathology adoption.
Under the collaboration, DICOM whole-slide images created by Pramana have been validated for importing and viewing through PathPresenter's software, the companies said in a statement. Both companies will offer continued support and updates to lab users as well, they noted.
Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Pramana offers a family of digital pathology software-based solutions to generate whole-slide images, while Montville, New Jersey-based PathPresenter has developed an end-to-end image management and viewing platform.
The collaboration "strengthens our collective goal of bringing practical digital workflows to the practice of pathology at enterprise scale," PathPresenter CEO Patrick Myles said in a statement.
Financial and other terms of the deal were not disclosed.
