NEW YORK (360Dx) – Digital pathology solutions and cancer informatics company Inspirata today announced it has acquired healthcare analytics and population health management solutions firm Caradigm from GE Healthcare.
Financial and other terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Based in Redmond, Washington, Caradigm provides a software portfolio called Caradigm Intelligence Platform for population health management, data control, healthcare analytics, and care coordination and engagement. Its customers include large integrated delivery networks, accountable care organizations, clinically integrated networks, academic medical centers, and community hospital networks.
Inspirata CEO Satish Sanan said that the firm's goal is to leverage "the core strengths" of the Caradigm Intelligence Platform to accelerate Inspirata's development of its cancer big data platform called Cancer Information Data Trust. "The CIDT will address key trends in oncology care providing important new insights for clinicians, researchers, drug discovery, and cancer center operations," he said.
In January, Inspirata bought Omnyx from GE Healthcare in a deal expected to deliver an in vitro diagnostic device in Europe and Canada.
