FIND, VIA Global Health Partner to Expand Access to Dx Testing in LMICs

NEW YORK – FIND and VIA Global Health announced on Wednesday that they will partner to expand access to diagnostic tests in low- and middle-income countries.

The partnership is intended to provide new routes to market for manufacturers of diagnostic tests by expanding the reach of FIND's DxConnect Marketplace, which directly connects buyers of diagnostic tests with approved test suppliers to serve market segments that can't access quality products through other procurement mechanisms, FIND said in a statement. The marketplace is intended to address insufficient product knowledge, fragmented supply chains, opaque pricing information, and high logistics costs, the organization added.

Under the partnership, rapid diagnostic tests from Premier Medical Corporation that were available to purchase through the DxConnect Marketplace will now be extended to the VIA Global Health online platform, which delivers medical products to more than 80 countries. The partners are collaborating to include additional diagnostic tests and further expand the agreement, FIND said.

"Our partnership with FIND adds channels to serve the fragmented market with well-vetted suppliers," VIA Global Health CEO and Cofounder Noah Perin said in a statement.

"Partnerships are at the heart of all our work, and VIA Global Health’s mission to distribute medical technologies to underserved communities is closely aligned with our aim to ensure that everyone who needs a test can get one," FIND Chief Access Officer Emma Hannay said.
