NEW YORK (360Dx) – Axon Lab will distribute Biosurfit's Spinit point-of-care instrument in Switzerland under a distribution deal announced today.
Spinit offers a comprehensive menu of tests, including for HbA1c, C-reactive protein, and blood count.
Today's deal is the sixth between Biosurfit and Axon, following previous agreements for Austria, Croatia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Slovenia. Under the terms of all the deals, Axon Lab has the right to promote, market, and sell the Spinit system and associated discs to hospitals, doctors, clinics, private labs, and research institutions. Biosurfit will continue selling its products in Portugal, where the firm is based, on a direct sales basis.
Additional terms of the deal with Axon were not disclosed.
Spinit is an automated blood analysis instrument that combines immunoassay, hematology, and/or clinical chemistry technologies to provide physicians with results in minutes, according to Biosurfit's website.
