NEW YORK – Bio-Rad Laboratories announced Friday that it has formed a partnership with Sysmex America to offer Bio-Rad's quality control software with Sysmex's hemostasis analyzers for coagulation testing.
Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
Bio-Rad will now provide its Unity Next Peer QC software for the Sysmex CA-Series and CS-Series Hemostasis systems in the US, creating Sysmex Hemostasis-specific peer groups. The software offers on-demand access to peer reporting and QC data to help labs troubleshoot QC errors and streamline data visualization and QC reporting for compliance management.
Combining Unity Next Peer QC with Sysmex Hemostasis systems will allow labs to review system performance against peers in other labs, potentially avoiding the cost of reruns, Bio-Rad said in a statement.
Sysmex America began selling its hemostasis instruments in the US in April, and recently named Dan Zortman, the former VP of commercial operations at Roche, as its new CEO.
Bio-Rad formed a global partnership with Roche in 2021 to provide its InteliQ quality control products and Unity QC data management solutions to Roche's customers.
