NEW YORK (360Dx) – Newborn and pediatric testing firm Baebies today announced it has raised $10 million in a Series B financing round.
The round, which was oversubscribed, was led by BOE Technology. Other participants included family offices, current investors, and the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, Baebies said.
The company also said that it has shipped its 2 millionth test.
Baebies raised $13 million in an equity financing round during the summer of 2015. Last month, the Durham, North Carolina-based company announced a bilateral distribution deal with Trivitron's Labsystems Diagnostics. Earlier this year, the US Food and Drug Administration provided de novo clearance of Baebies' Seeker platform for the quantitative measurement of the activity of lysosomal enzymes α-L-iduronidase, α-D-glucosidase, β-glucocerebrosidase, and α-D-galactosidase A from newborn dried blood spot specimens
